In brief

Stefano Esposito combines photographic practice with the mediation work of Takeawaygallery. This double position connects the production of images with the responsibilities of presenting and contextualising them.

An independent gallery is not only a sales channel. It can build relationships, preserve documentation and help readers understand why a work belongs to a wider research path.

From practice to mediation

Knowing the artist’s working process can improve the way a gallery communicates materials, editions, provenance and intention without turning interpretation into advertising.

Trust grows through clear information and continuity, not through urgency or promises of return.

Questions for a gallery

Ask who made the work, when, with which medium, in what edition, and how it has been stored. Request a certificate, condition information, total costs and a written invoice.

Good mediation makes these questions normal and protects both artist and collector.
