Elena Ketra. The body asks no permission
From female empowerment to sologamy, a multidisciplinary practice transforms symbols and stereotypes into acts of self-determination.
In brief
Elena Ketra uses sculpture, installation, performance and pop visual language to address gender, self-determination and the social construction of desire.
Immediate symbols open into a more rigorous political and emotional investigation.
A recognisable practice
Ketra’s work is recognisable not because it repeats one object, but because it consistently redirects familiar signs toward questions of autonomy and power.
Humour and accessibility do not soften the argument; they make the viewer enter it before defensive habits take over.
Before acquiring
Verify medium, dimensions, edition, certificate and the relationship between the work and its original project. Performance-related objects may require additional documentation.
Sources and further reading
Sources allow readers to verify and explore. Official artist links are part of the feature, not an appendix.
ADVAcquistare Arte recommends: Resin-sealed books, words and layered images turn melancholy into a material narrative.
