Roma Arte in Nuvola 2026: an emerging artists guide

Why this fair matters
From 20 to 22 November 2026, Fuksas’s Nuvola brings modern and contemporary galleries together. New Entries, Solo Show and Photography are the key sections for emerging art: they reduce fair noise and let visitors read one practice with greater continuity.
History and identity
Roma Arte in Nuvola was founded in 2021 to fill Rome’s lack of a stable fair bringing modern and contemporary art together. Conceived and organised by Alessandro Nicosia, with Adriana Polveroni as artistic director, it chose Massimiliano Fuksas’s Nuvola in EUR from the outset. The 2026 event is its sixth edition; around the Main Section it has developed Solo Show, Photography, New Entries, performances, talks and special projects.
Major fair or independent ecosystem?
It is not a satellite of a larger fair and should not be described as Rome’s equivalent of The Others or Liste. Its ambition is autonomous: to serve Rome, central and southern Italy and the Mediterranean as both a market and cultural meeting point. That independence concentrates attention in one venue, but visitors must carefully distinguish twentieth-century masters, established galleries and genuinely emerging proposals.
Artists to look for
Samuel Nnorom turns wax fabrics into organic sculpture; Kelechi Nwaneri builds figures dense with symbols; Godwin Champs Namuyimba connects portraiture, interiors and daily life. They help compare material, narrative and recognition without confusing fair visibility with a stable market.
How to visit
Before visiting, save three galleries and request a preview with prices, media and sizes. Return twice to the same booths, ask which works belong to an exhibited series, and keep the sheet, invoice, provenance and certificate.
